same vlan can communicate with each other, but they are unable to communicate with hosts on different vlans

所以不同vlan知間要溝通的話要打trunk通道對嗎

Vlan 是 Layer2 的應用，所以不同的 Vlan 彼此無法溝通。
要讓兩個不同的 Layer2 溝通，就是透過 Layer3 的機制，也就是使用路由。
