昨天提到AIX上基本的網路設定,今天要和大家介紹的是AIX 網路進階的功能:EtherChannel
現在越來越多的pSeries上run 著7 x 24 non-stoping 的 solution , 舉凡工廠裡MES or ERP 系統或是Core-Banking 的 Database Server. 為了提供高可用的系統,在AIX上插上兩張或三張的網卡已變成了基本規格,因此AIX也有相對的網路進階功能來供使用
其實所謂的EtherChannel 是AIX為了配合現在網路產品(EtherChannel 是 Cisco 的專利) 中 Trunking 或 Bonding而有的功能,就是把兩張以上的網卡虛擬成一張,再把IP bind 上去.這時網路的設備也要有相對的設定(Port Trunking)才會運作正常.如果你是把四張1 GB 的網卡做成EtherChannel 這時你就有4GB 的頻寬了.而且若有其中一張掛了,其他三條還可繼續用同一個IP作網路服務.下面就是設定的步驟:
1.檢查每張原始網卡中的設定:
#smitty enet
=> Adapter
=> Change / Show Characteristics of an Ethernet Adapter
=> ent0 Available 1L-08 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PCI Adapter II (1410ff01)
=> Enable Link Polling to "Yes" P.S. 如果是Gigabit Ethernet 就不用改為Yes.
2.把兩張網卡虛擬成一張:
#smitty etherchannel
=> Add An EtherChannel / Link Aggregation 
=> 用F7 選這兩張網卡ent0 和ent1,(註:Move cursor to desired item and press F7.ONE OR MORE items can be selected. Press Enter AFTER making all selections)
=> 在這個畫面中,Mode 有三種: standard, round_robin and 8023ad
此時要看看你的網路設備是哪一種.一般先用standard試試看不行再用round_robin. 而8023ad 適用於LACP-enabled 的switch.
=> 按Enter 後就會產生一張虛擬的網卡 ent3
=> 摘錄畫面如下

=> 最後再把IP bind 在en3上便完成了設定囉.
