Position: Webapp Backend Engineer and Project Manager

Background:

We are a FinTech company with its head office in Silicon Valley, a growing China office, and an engineering office in India. Our team is made up of experienced people from top US schools and leading Wall Street investment banks. We are well-funded and are growing quickly.

This is your chance to be an important part of an elite team, working as an engineer on all aspects of architecture, technology development and project management as we create our FinTech search engine. You will work directly with company leadership, so your influence will extend beyond engineering and into product design and user experience. You will also have the opportunity as time goes by to lead a part of the engineering team.

Position:

We are looking for a full-stack web developer with experience writing scalable websites in a MVC framework such as Node.JS or Ruby on Rails. The emphasis will be on data structures, search algorithms, and design of internal backend API’s. We are looking for someone who can take high level tasks, come up with the architecture/algorithms and implement the features. You will also help manage our growing team. Independence and attention to detail are key!

Requirements:

• 2-5 years experience in MVC framework like Node.JS or Ruby on Rails
• Experience architecting backend API systems
• Good understanding of efficient database schema design and queries
• Search engine design experience a bonus
• Can work in a very independent environment with high-level tasks

• Ruby on Rails MVC framework
• PostgreSQL and Amazon RDS databases
