Public Cloud
- Owned by cloud service provider
- Available to multiple end users
- Public access
- Most common cloud-type deployment model
- Typically connected with internet
- No need to set up
Private Cloud
- The owner and user are the same
- Private network (highly secure)
- Responsible for the purchase, maintenance, and management of the cloud hardware
Hybrid Cloud (combines both public and private clouds)
- Specific resources in public cloud, and others in private cloud
- Allow to leverage some of the benefits of cost, efficiency
- Retain management control in private clouds
- Still need to maintain private cloud and ensure both models can operate together
