Day 21 - Geolocation based Speedometer and Compass

前言

JS 30 是由加拿大的全端工程師 Wes Bos 免費提供的 JavaScript 簡單應用課程,課程主打 No FrameworksNo CompilersNo LibrariesNo Boilerplate 在30天的30部教學影片裡,建立30個JavaScript的有趣小東西。

另外,Wes Bos 也很無私地在 Github 上公開了所有 JS 30 課程的程式碼,有興趣的話可以去 fork 或下載。


本日目標

取得使用者的位置資訊,實作出簡易的羅盤和速度表。


設定本地伺服器

這次的範例會需要取得位置的存取權限,而在取得過程必須是透過https或是localhost這類的secure origin才行,以下我們透過npm installnpm start架起自己的 little server (localhost)。

如果發現下面的指令無效的話,表示沒有安裝Node.js,可以點這邊下載 LTS 的版本,都用預設的安裝就好。

  • 第一步 : 先移動到編輯檔案的工作目錄,接著輸入npm install,它會幫你安裝一些套件

  • 第二步 : 輸入npm start,它會去執行package.json裡的start,開始運行一個 little server。(紅色框是目前的網頁位置)

這次不用 VisualStudio 的 Go Live Server,是因為它沒有提供 external server url,所以行動裝置沒辦法直接用來測試。


解析程式碼

HTML 部分

總體而言只有兩個重點,一個是羅盤的 svg(.arrow) 圖,另一個是速度表(.speed)。

JS 部分

宣告常數arrow用來放取得的 Svg 羅盤圖片。
宣告常數speed用來放自速度表(.speed)取得的速度(.speed-value)。

Navigator.geolocation會回傳一個唯讀的 Geolocation 物件,這個物件可以被用來存取裝置的位置資訊。

Geolocation物件有一個方法watchPosition(),用來註冊使用者裝置位置更新的監聽器。我們在下面的例子傳入2個參數,分別作為成功取得位置資訊(success)和無法取得位置資訊(error)的回傳函式。

無法取得位置資訊,會拿到PositionError物件。

成功取得位置資訊的話,會拿到Position物件,這個物件的內容如下:

Position物件的coords屬性裡面,我們可以發現包含經緯度(longitude、latitude)、定位精準度(accuracy)、移動速度(speed)還有偏離北方的度數(heading)等等...。

在成功取得位置資訊的情況下,我們把取得的Position物件(data)丟到第一個回傳函式,然後把速度表上的速度換成自位置資訊得知的速度,再把 svg 圖也旋轉自位置資訊得知的北方偏移量就完成了。

在無法取得位置資訊的情況下,我們把取得的PositionError物件(err)丟到第二個回傳函式,然後把錯誤印到 console 上並且提示使用者。
