In fact, if your hp new tape drive/library is new, only left 3 types of interface you can choose--USB (entry level), SAS and Fiber Channel.
Not sure what is your Server ? Is it HP ? If HP server, please order the SCSI card from HP directly since some of firmware/patches has to be deployed before can connect with HP Tape drive (SCSI interface). If you connect with your PC, my opinion-- not waste your time & money since USB external 3.5 2TB harddisk should be better choice to do that.
If you try acronis with HP tape drive, it does not work since acronis does not have Tape media server design and deployment.
