This article marks the conclusion of my 30-day iThome Iron Man series on e-signature technology and project management. Over the past month, we’ve embarked on a comprehensive journey to create a clear strategic roadmap from the fundamentals of e-signatures to real-world project implementation.
Let’s recap the four key parts of this journey.
We began by exploring the essential concepts. This included clarifying the differences between e-signatures and digital signatures, understanding Taiwan’s Electronic Signature Act, and learning the fundamentals of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
In the second part, we explored the project manager’s role in technical implementation. This included how to read API documentation and walk through the user signing journey step by step. We also took a closer look at key components of digital evidence, such as audit trails, PDF structures, timestamps, and the signature verification process.
In this part, we walked through the entire project lifecycle, from gathering requirements to final delivery, ensuring that users could successfully adopt the system. We also explored key strategies for communication, planning and handing challenges, while reflecting on the core value of being a project manager.
In the final part, we explored the diverse methods of Identity Verification (IDV) and emphasized the importance of Long-Term Validation (LTV) in ensuring the legal admissibility of digital documents. Additionally, we explored how digital evidence can be used effectively in legal proceedings, and took a brief look at the EU’s eIDAS regulation.
The core of digital transformation has never been about the tools themselves, but about using them to optimize processes, reducing risks, and enhance the human experience.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my series. Whether you’re a project manager or not, I truly hope you found something meaningful here, If even one sentence helped you, that would make me feel satisfied.
I don’t know when we’ll meet again, but maybe by then, I’ll have taken another leap forward in my career. The first time I joined this challenge, I was preparing to transition into frontend engineering. Now, I’ve stepped into a new role as a project manager. Life keeps moving, and it’s hard to predict where I’ll be a year from now .
Until next time, I hope I’ll have something new to share with you. See you then!
