“You are a problem solver or a problem maker?” During the career path, there might be people to ask you about it; or been asked during an interview.
For a company, we always want to hire the problem solvers to enhance the company. However, what might be more dangerous to a company is that there is none as a problem maker or no one notices there is a problem. The problem maker I mention is more about raising the problems that they see even if they did not know how to solve it. For example, for the COVID-19, without those doctors who warned about the strangeness of the diseases on the websites, there might be more people who died. However, for the country, if you see it as a big company, they might see those doctors be the problem makers.
The problems are not easy to make. If there are problems to be raised, it is due to people who notice the problems. Therefore, if anyone told you there are problems and are willing to tell you then feel grateful for it. However, you still need to have a clear mindset and be willing to double-check and confirm with the people who are in the events or in the team.
To be a problem solver, you need to first notice there is a problem, knowing where to find the solution or who to ask for the consulting. Most of the time, the problem solvers are solving issues based on experiences, based on knowledge, based on knowledge, or information that others gave. Therefore, if you find that you do not know how to solve the problems, do not worry about it. The reason is that none of us is born to know how to solve everything, we learn by experiences, lead by others, or sharing by others. Therefore, what you need is willing to learn and willing to have more experience.
