第一次看此系列文的朋友,請先移步到 Day 1 – 如何開始?進行方式、自我介紹實戰 哦!
今天在 Sprint 會議後,設計師希望你修改一個後端 API,讓前端可以更靈活地處理畫面動態資料。
你心裡想:「這不是設計範圍嗎?我應該怎麼溝通需求邊界?」
今日目標:清楚表達技術限制、並與設計師協調一個折衷方案。

- Day: Day24 – Designer Collaboration
- Scenario: I'm a backend engineer collaborating with a designer who requests changes that may not fit the current backend structure. I need to explain the technical constraints clearly, suggest alternatives, and maintain a cooperative tone.
記得把對話錄下來,自己聽一次,想想有哪裡不自然、哪裡需要調整。

1) Per-turn Corrections
Turn 2: Original: "It's little hard because if you send the data to the backend server..."
Rewrite: "It's a bit hard because when the backend server sends data back, there's a delay."
Alternative: "It's a bit tricky because the backend doesn't respond instantly."
Turn 4: Original: "Maybe you should add some cache in the local machine..."
Rewrite: "Maybe we could add some caching on the user's side, so the view updates right away."
Alternative: "We could add some local caching to update the view immediately."
2) Top 3 Patterns
"Little" vs. "a bit": Use "a bit" or "a little" for slight difficulty.
Suggestion Tone: Start suggestions with "Maybe we could" to sound more collaborative.
Real-time vs. Immediate: For instant feedback, "immediate" or "right away" is often clearer than "real-time."
3) Phrase Pack
"It's a great idea, but there's a slight delay on the backend."
"We could add some local caching to speed things up."
"Another option might be to update the UI first, then sync in the background."
"This way, the user sees changes right away."
"Let’s keep it simple on the backend side."
4) Intonation Tip
Stress "maybe" and "could": When suggesting alternatives, emphasize "maybe we could..." to sound more cooperative and open.
5) Fluency & Pronunciation Notes
You did well keeping sentences short.
Good job repeating the corrected sentences accurately.
Work a little on smoother transitions between ideas.
Pay attention to small pauses to sound natural.
6) Key Focus for Next Time
Improvement Goals: Practice giving alternatives with "maybe we could." Focus on using "a bit" or "a little" for slight difficulties.
3-min Drills: Try a short shadowing exercise with "maybe we could..." sentences. Then do a substitution drill replacing "real-time" with "immediate" or "right away." Finally, summarize a short scenario in your own words.
